1ampictures is a theatrical distribution company dedicated to showcasing independent films and to nurturing innovative and emerging filmmakers. Born out of a desire to create new paths and opportunities for filmmakers, 1ampictures is committed to providing invaluable exposure for independently produced features.
1ampictures is helmed by Sonia Pachmayer. A veteran of the independent film industry for over a decade, Sonia was a long-standing key member of the Domestic Distribution team at Focus Features. While there, she worked on such noteworthy titles as Shaun of the Dead, The Kids Are All Right, ParaNorman, Moonrise Kingdom, and the Oscar-winning films Brokeback Mountain, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Lost in Translation, and Beginners. In 2015 Sonia worked with ScreenLive on the US release of Elaine Paige; I am Still Here; a one night only cinema event. Other recent clients include Imani Entertainment Group, Lightyear Entertainment and Roadside Attractions.
